Frusteration coursed through Eragon, this was the second promise he had been reminded to keep. He should have done what he needed to do several days ago, before Jex arrive, when he had time to spend. Now, he was buisy, and the new tasks piled up. And they certainly aren't going away. He mused. Training would have to wait, exept for today's session. If he could heal Elva this evening, just before the feast, and then leave with Roran to rescue Katirna the next moring.
"I'll come this evening, just before the feast. I am sorry, I did forget about Elva, and I have no excuse." Eragon answered her peicing gaze with his words. His tone was not submissive, but apoligetic.

Angela was still not entirely happy with him, and a suspious look was in her eyes, she remember he had already given his word to the girl, yet in this time he had done nothing for her. "I will be expecting you to keep your word"
She smiled now that that was finished and walked over to Saphira, "It is good to see you again Saphira, you seem to have grown even more." Of course she was also rather delighted to see the other Riders before her as well. Angela had not yet met them, though she hoped they were better with their memory then Eragon was.

Lira heard Eragon’s question and said "I have some skill with a sword and also with a bow. No one in Ceunon passes the age of 12 without being able to use both” She watched the woman approaching Eragon, wondering who she was and what she was doing here. She seemed nice but when she began talking she seemed a bit annoyed or angry about somehting. ‘I wonder who she is’ ‘Someone Eragon knows apparently’ ‘Who are they talking about?’ ‘Maybe Katrina or another girl who is apparently in some sort of pain or trouble’ ‘Yes. I wonder how these promises Eragon must keep will affect our training’ ‘I wonder that too. For we all need the training, as much as we can get’ ‘Aye’

Pike drew his two daggers and placed them back onto his belt. "There was no need to use a sword, even if I had one, on an island," Pike said, turning his head and watching the werecat. "I only needed daggers and a bow to hunt and clean meat.'
Pike approached the werecat slowly and knelt down to look at him. What an odd creature you are... What would your name be? Pike spoke to him using his mind. He looked up and finally noticed Angela. Oh... and what a fine looking owner you have....

I guess I'll just have a nice sparring session then. Eragon decided. He wanted to see how crafty Pike could be with those daggers of his, and if he could make up for their short reach. He also wanted to see how good Lira was with her sword. From her answer, he guessed that she would need training to master it as well as he had. Hopefully Tatiana would get Jex, Pike and Lira swords soon.
Eragon drew his own sword and begain to block it, explaining as he did so, "This spell will make the edge dull untill I remove it, protecting us from causing each other harm. I want to see what you know."

Angela gave a smiled before walking off to sit near the side and watch them, she wanted to see just how good these new riders were and if they matched the skill of Eragon and Saphira. Solembum had just stared at the other rider when he spoke to him and then went to catch up to Angela. It was rare for him to speak to anyone and she would not have been suprised if he hadn't spoken to him. She took a few plants from the bag she had been carrying from the mountains and began to look at them while she waited, not really careing too much about what anyone thought or anyone wondering why she had even come there. Angela was off in a world of her own usually and businally thinking about other things as she continued with her herbs to see which she would actually be able to use.

Pike didn't notice the werecat walking off as he continued to watch the witch. He looked back down where the werecat should have been and then noticed his disappearence. He stood up and looked back at the elf, pulling out his daggers. "Care to do the honors for me, Niniel?" Pike asked, holding the daggers out to her. "I'm sure an elf like you can do this sort of simple magic, eh? And perhaps you could give me a private lesson on these spells later."

Eragon chuckled silently. Pike could learn the Ancheint language, but he couldn't be 'taught' magic. He would need to find it within himself. He remembered Brom telling him that most riders were taught magic by being given tasks that frusterated them to no end, and they would find the magic within themselves and compleat the tasks. Brom, he remembered silently, but now was not the time to greive. He had to train these other riders, just as Brom had him.
You will find what you need within yourself, as you did in Yazuac. Saphira encouraged. I think I'll take the rest of the dragons, and see how well they match the wind. She continued. Then she addressed the other dragons, saying, Come with me, I have some things I would like to show you.
Eragon turned to Pike as Saphira unfolded her wings, flapping them a couple times to warm them up. "If Ninel will spar with you, go ahead." He said. The elf didn't seem to mind Pikes antics as much as Eragon did, but he remembered how stuipid he had been around Arya, and his scorn quickly vanished.

An elf like me? she laughed a little, You have no idea...
She took the daggers from Pike and proceeded to block them carefully, then Eragon spoke, "If Ninel will spar with you, go ahead." Niniel felt her smile grow. Sparing was something she had not done in quite a few months, but she was still extremely confident in her skills with her sword.
She handed the daggers back to Pike and retrieved her sword from where she had left it earlier. "Sparing would be a nice way to start off the morning, if Pike would allow me the honor of dueling with him," she said with a slight bow to Pike. Then without another word, she knelt and blocked her own simple sword, relishing in the energetic feeling that she got as she wrapped her hand around it's hilt. She stood slowly and faced Pike, waiting to see how he would strike to begin with.
((OOC: I'll be going home tomorrow, so I'll be on much more regularly now. Don't go too overboard with this little sparing match danny, cause I won't be on again till tomorrow night.))

Pike looked up as Saphira opened her wings. Forest, you're being summoned, he thought, opening his mind for the dragon. A moment later and Forest was flying above them.
Training? Forest said, circling the group. Lovely. I was getting rather bored just flying around and doing nothing.
Pike took the daggers from Niniel and smiled. "Lovely indeed," Pike mumbled, moving his arms and cutting the air slightly. "I haven't battled many people, let alone an elf. Would you, maybe, turn into a large bear and attack me that way instead?"
He started streching slightly and then got into a fighting stance, holding the daggers tightly in his hands. He cracked his neck and made sure his foot had solid ground, watching and waiting for Niniel to get ready.

Draith turned following Saphira. Don't try to prove yourself to much while I'm away. Draith said smiling at Jex. Yeah yeah I'll miss you too.
"So what are we going to do Eragon?" Jex asked looking at Lira and Eragon. I wonder how long it will be until the swords are ready. Jex thought. He looked up into the sky imagining himself on a much older Draith with a blade in hand. He came out of his day dream looking at Eragon for the answer.
Eragon replied to his question, saying, "For now, untill your swords are ready, I'll teach you more about blocking your mind."
((OOC: I didn't feel like writing a good-leangth post, so I hijacked Metri's. When will the swords be ready anyway? -- Ragond))

Solembum sat quietly by Angela's side, observing the proceedings. The young rider who had spoken to him had amused him greatly, thinking he even stood a chance with Angela. The witch was wise beyond even her years, in both intellectual and emotional means. As Saphira prepared to go, Solembum touched her mind.
Be careful with those young ones, you know how they get... he said playfully.
Saphira was one of the few he opened up completely with. She also lived among humans with no one to talk to except them....no, that wasn't correct. She had those new dragons, the ones whose eggs had been found in the vault of souls. Speaking of which...Solembum extended his mind to its limit. No sign of the missing dragons had reached him. He expected Galbatorix had already shielded him from outside touch. He disconnected his probe and closed his eyes, concentrating on the new riders. He spoke to Angela.
They are weak, perhaps too much so. Hopefully Eragon has learned enough from Oromis to teach them, else all will be lost.

That they are, young and ready. Saphira said to Solembum as she lept into the air. For a moment, she just hovered, wings bulging full of air. Then she shot through the sky, and lead the other dragons to a small clearing, one of the spots where she often stopped to eat her prey. She remembered Oromis teaching her and Eragon in their first training session. The wise old Rider had her streach to the fullest and show her flexibility, she would have the other dragons do the same.
Eragon gently brushed Jex's mind with a probe, instructing as he did so, "Foucus on one object, and nothing else. If all you are thinking of is a block of stone, that is all I will find there."

Jex almost jumped as he felt Eragon's conscious. He began concentrate on the task at hand without even replying to Eragon. Block of stone, block of stone. Were the words that repeated in his head. He closed his eyes visualizing a block of stone.
Draith landed in the clearing. He looked around looking for any movements beside the others. Nothing more then a few leaves brushing in the trees and a couple of birds in a high nest. Seems safe enough here. He thought to himself. Draith then turned back to the other dragons.

Eragon felt the barrier around Jex's mind, testing it for weakness. It was farily strong, good for a first try, Eragon guessed, not that he had much experience with others first trys. He didn't want to cause Jex pain, so he withdrew his probe. "Later on, you will be able to focus on other things behind your barrier, that will come with practice." He said.
Eragon didn't much like the idea of training others, he wasn't much wiser than they were. Of course, he knew more about magic and swordsplay than they did, but he was about six years younger than one of them, and the other two he was only three years older than. Now, he was asked to train them. Wisdom is not mesured by age. And you did want to train them. Oromis needs all the help that he can get. Saphira reminded him.
Eragon twisted his attention to what she was doing. Through her eyes he saw a small clearing, she was showing Draith the poses that Oromis had taught her, a form of Dragon Rimgar. He equatied the two inside his head, even though they weren't that simmilar.

((OOC: Rimgar)) Lira watched as Saphira flew into the air. Eri followed. 'Good Luck' 'And to you as well' She watched Pike spar with the elf, Niniel. Wondering if she would ever be as good. Eragon seemed frustrated, exasperated, thet they all knew so little. 'I wonder how much he knew when he began' 'Probably about as much you do. Maybe more' Eragon was showing Jex how to block his mind. She had better go learn too. She wanted to learn as much as she could. 'I don't want to be useless' 'You won't be. And neither will I. We will learn' 'I hope so'

"I haven't battled many people, let alone an elf. Would you, maybe, turn into a large bear and attack me that way instead?" Pike said.
Niniel couldn't help but laugh a little as she rolled her eyes, "As much as I would like to accommodate your request, Argetlam, it would be near impossible for me to do. But I'm sure you'll fair well against me, none the less," she smirked.
Without another word she sprang at Pike with her unnatural speed, and weakly struck out at one of his arms, she didn't want to make him feel too bad about himself his first time sparring with her.

Jex nodded know longer thinking about the stone block. He turned seeing Niniel lung at Pike swinging her sword. She seems well trained. Jex thought to herself.
Draith followed Saphira's instructions. He practiced a few times before trying to go all the way through the Rimgar.
What are you up to? Jex asked. Draith didn’t bother to answer. He sent Jex the image and continued the Rimgar. Jex could see his dragon’s feet. Dancing eh? Jex began to laugh out loud.
