Eragon drove her back a few steps with his flurry of blows, her strength couldn't match his, he thought. He used a complex series of blows to get her sword in the right position. Trying to lock the hits of the two finely fasioned blades, he thrust his blade at her midrift. If it worked, and he was as much stronger than the elf than he thought, he might bring the dule to a quick end.

Niniel tried to hide her pleasure as she could sense Eragon growing confident at her supposed weakness. She decided to keep the act up for just a little while longer, so when he thrust his sword at her waist, she blocked it in a way that made the hilts of their swords lock. She "struggled" as her sword was pushed back towards her body, and she looked up into Eragon's eyes, feigning a look of exertion. Hopefully he would try something gutsy to end the match, and then she could catch him unawares.

((OOC: How about Eragon trys something gusty, and Niniel gains the upper hand and she tries something gusty, thus making Eragon win the match.)) Eragon forced back her blade, inside, he was beaming with pleasure, outside, he let nothing show. She had fallen right into his trap. Using his strength, he thrust her blade to the side, and with the same movement stuck his leg out, intending to trip her. In another movement, he brought his blade up, intending to disarm her. If he had misjudged her strength though--he prepared to backpeadal quickly if it failed.

((OOC: Sounds good to me.. I was going to let him win anyways, cause it just wouldn't make sense if Niniel won. Know what I mean?))
Niniel smirked a little, she knew that Eragon was hiding his own satisfaction; she, however, was not nearly as discplined as to hide her feelings so well. Niniel saw what he was trying to do, and allowed herself to be tripped up, but as she fell, she wrapped her legs around one of Eragon's and pulled him down with her. Quickly, she leapt up to her feet and decided to try a sloppy attack at him as he lay there, after all, it would be very hard for him to do anything to prevent her assualt while he was on the ground. She almost smiled broadly, but decided it was best to wait to celebrate when the match was over.

Eragon fell in suprise, he didn't expect that. His reflexes saved him as he twisted in the air, coming down on his arms instead of his shoulder and saving himself from a nasty bruise. He looked over his shoulder, just in time to see her blade coming down at him. He rolled to the side to avoid it, and brought his feet under him. He lashed out quickly at her uprotected legs, almost certain to knock her feet out from under her unless she had a very quick sword indeed.

Niniel swore under her breath as Eragon knocked her legs out from underneath her. She had gotten to confident and allowed her guard to fall. Unable to do anything as she fell, she landed heavily on her left shoulder and hip and immediately felt bruises to form. She rolled over onto her back quickly, knowing that Eragon had the upperhand now.

Eragon lept all the way up. He seized his advantage before he lost it, careful to keep his legs gaurded and not make the same mistake as she made, he brought his sword to bear through a powerful stroke downwards. He tried not to be overconfident, since he had almost lost the dule that way, but victory was very near, and he felt as though he could reach out and grasp it.

Niniel did her best to block the downward stroke, and although she was able to deflect it away from her body, her own sword flew out of her hands across the courtyard. She quickly grabbed her dagger from it's sheath on her thigh to protect herself just incase Eragon didn't notice right away that there was no way that she could win. She lay on the ground, feeling her heart beat furiously in her chest, not because of the fight, but because of her frustration with losing.

((OOC: That was fun, wasn't it. Humm... I hope someone takes the part of Arya soon.)) Instead of bringing his sword back up for another swing, Eragon simpily flicked it to the right, hitting her dagger in a way that would jar her wrist and force her to drop it. Then he brought his sword to her throat. She was good, not nearly as good as Vanir, but good nonetheless. "Well fought." He congradulated her. "You almost had me there."

((OOC: Twas fun yes. Hehe, I could always take on a third character. Now THAT would be fun.))
"Well fought, you almost had me there," Eragon said to her after she had dropped her dagger as well.
Although she was bitter for losing, she knew that it would have happened no matter what. She wasn't very well trained in fighting, and so fighting a rider like Eragon was just good practice for her to improve in. She nodded as she sat up, "Likewise, Argetlam. We'll have to do it again someday," she said and then stood up. She bowed slightly to Eragon and then said, "I'll take my leave until the feast tonight. If you need me though, Pike knows where I will be," she said and looked over at Pike. Then she walked out of the courtyard and made her way back to the rooftop garden that she had spent the previous night in.

((OOC: I'm all for fishing this up, so I'll just make a post that describes what Eragon does with them for the rest of the morning, and part of the afternoon.))
Eragon taught the other riders the first level of the Rimgar, and used that to limber up for sparring with Jex and Lira. It was nice to do the Rimgar with someone again, most of the time did all of the levels alone in his room. Then Saphira had the rest of the dragons fly back after some arial manuvers, and they practiced fighting on dragonback. Magic Eragon wasn't absolutely sure how to teach, so he would let Oromis do that. Overall, the riders needed a lot of work before they would even be through "Tempting the fool's wisdom," or the first part of rider's training.
When the sun was a good part past its zenith, Eragon called the session to an end. He bade the other riders farwell untill the feast, and went for a long, leasurely, flight with Saphria.

Jex waved good bye as Eragon left the courtyard.
“That was fun.” He muttered walking toward Draith.Tired? Draith asked lying down. Not one bit. Jex's eyes began to close as he climbed on Draith's soothing gray back. His body slowly moved into a laying down position. Could have fooled me. The dragon said turning his neck to face his young rider. Draith’s head pushed against Jex’s waking him up. Jex looked at the other riders.
“I think we’re going to go rest for a little while. See ya guys at the feast” He waved a last good bye as Draith stood getting ready to take flight.

Pike watched the spar closely, trying to take in what he could. Forest swept Pike's legs under with his tail once the spar was done with. Learn anything today? Forest asked. Pike smiled slightly and stood up, jumping onto Forest's back.
"Learned that I couldn't take on an elf, less Eragon," Pike said as Forest began to take off into the air. "Managed to do a little magic too."
Well, you have done some magic before... though you probably don't remember much after falling unconsious afterwards. As for Eragon, he isn't exactly a full human, is he?
"I suppose. Come on, let's go flying like the old days. We haven't done that in quite some time."
A quick corkscrew should be enough... Forest said, stretching his body ou. Pike leaned forward on Forest, wrapping his arms around his neck as Forest began to increase his speed and spin. He punctured a cloud and quickly turned upwards, dragging cloud remains with him and making a large circle in the air.
"A simple circle? I think you're getting rusty," Pike said as Forest slowed down. Forest gave a growl as he shot towards another cloud.

Go for it.. We just need to have the feast soon, but I think Eragon and Murtagh are gonna have a little fight, so we have to wait for that to be done with.
